PU-Cement Heavy Duty Flooring System

Polyurethane-Cement Flooring System for Extreme Industrial Environments

Chimatech PU-Cement Heavy Duty is a high-performance seamless flooring system designed for environments exposed to intense mechanical, chemical, and thermal stress. It is developed for industrial facilities where standard epoxy floors are not sufficient.

The system includes:

  • Primer: Chimaprime CE – high-strength epoxy bonding primer

  • Main layer: Self-levelling polyurethane-cement mortar (Heavy Duty grade)

Key Advantages

Exceptional Thermal Resistance

  • Service temperature range: from –25°C to +90°C (at 6 mm thickness)

  • Suitable for areas exposed to thermal shock and hot water cleaning

  • Anti-slip version resistant up to +120°C (at 9 mm thickness)

Outstanding Mechanical Strength

  • Compressive strength: 58 N/mm²

  • Flexural strength: 20 N/mm²

  • Tensile strength: 10 N/mm²

  • Adhesion to concrete: >1.5 N/mm² (concrete failure)

  • High abrasion resistance

Suitable for forklift traffic, heavy machinery, and continuous industrial use.

Excellent Chemical Resistance

Resistant to:

  • Detergents and disinfectants

  • Organic and inorganic acids

  • Solvents

  • Aggressive cleaning chemicals

Hygienic and Safe

  • Surface does not support bacterial or mould growth

  • Zero water absorption

  • Seamless and dense structure

  • Ideal for food processing environments

Technical Parameters

  • Density: ~1.9 g/cm³

  • Layer thickness: 3–6 mm (Heavy Duty typically 6 mm)

  • Consumption: ~1.9 kg/m² per mm thickness

  • Working time: ~10 minutes

  • Walkable after: ~12 hours

  • Recoating time: 12–24 hours

  • Full mechanical resistance: 7 days

  • Full chemical resistance: 28 days

  • Relative humidity during installation: 40–80%

  • Application temperature: 12–25°C (minimum 3°C above dew point)

Substrate Requirements

  • Minimum concrete strength: ≥ 25 MPa

  • Adhesive tensile strength: ≥ 1.5 N/mm²

  • Residual moisture: < 8% (CM method)

  • No rising or pressurized moisture

Substrate preparation includes milling, vacuum shot blasting, or diamond grinding.
