Water-Based Epoxy Flooring System
Most epoxy floor systems fail on one critical point: they can't be applied to wet or fresh concrete. Chimafloor WB was built to solve exactly that.
Chimafloor WB is a 2-component, self-leveling epoxy floor system on a pure water base — no organic solvents, no toxic fumes, no ventilation restrictions. Engineered for facilities where concrete moisture is a fact, not an exception.
The system works as two components designed to perform together:
Chimaprime WB — Water-Based Epoxy Primer A low-viscosity primer that penetrates deep into the substrate, consolidates the surface and equalizes absorption. Works on fresh and damp concrete with moisture content up to 12% — no waiting for months of drying. The vapor-permeable film does not trap moisture beneath the surface.
Chimafloor WB — Self-Leveling Epoxy Coating Applied over the primer, it flows evenly across the surface and cures into a monolithic, hard-wearing, easy-to-clean floor finish. Matte appearance, available in full RAL color range.
TECHNICAL DATA:
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Compressive strength | ≥ 40 N/mm² |
| Adhesion to concrete | ≥ 2 N/mm² |
| Impact resistance | ≥ 10 N.m |
| Shore D hardness (7 days) | > 70 |
| Abrasion resistance (BCA) | ≤ 400 µm |
| Water absorption (3 days) | ≤ 0.3% |
| Pot life at +23°C | 30–40 min |
| Full cure | 7 days |
APPLICATIONS:
Designed for facilities where hygiene and durability are non-negotiable:
- Warehouses and industrial halls — withstands forklift traffic and heavy mechanical loads
- Food and beverage production — solvent-free, moisture-resistant, easy to clean
- Hospitals and medical facilities — seamless, hygienic surface, safe during application
- Schools and office buildings — safe for occupants, no fumes during or after application
- Civic and public buildings with certification or hygiene requirements
Anti-slip option: The coating can be broadcast with quartz aggregate for added traction in wet or high-traffic areas.
WHY CHIMAFLOOR WB:
Standard epoxy systems demand fully dry concrete — weeks or months of waiting after construction or renovation. Chimafloor WB removes that constraint. It works on fresh substrates. It contains no solvents. And it delivers the mechanical strength of a full industrial floor system.

FAQ :
Q: Can epoxy flooring be applied to damp or fresh concrete? A: Yes — the Chimafloor WB system with Chimaprime WB primer is specifically designed for use on fresh and damp concrete with moisture content up to 10-12%. The primer is vapor-permeable and does not trap moisture beneath the surface.
Q: Does Chimafloor WB contain solvents? A: No. Chimafloor WB is entirely water-based — zero organic solvents (VOC-free) — making it safe for use in enclosed spaces including food production facilities, hospitals, and offices.
Q: What is the compressive strength of Chimafloor WB? A: Compressive strength is ≥40 N/mm², Shore D hardness exceeds 70 after 7 days. The system withstands heavy pedestrian traffic and light mechanical loads.
Q: How soon can the floor be used after application? A: At +23°C, light foot traffic is possible after 24 hours. Full mechanical properties are achieved after 7 days.
Q: Is Chimafloor WB suitable for food production facilities? A: Yes. The system is solvent-free, moisture-resistant, and easy to clean — meeting the requirements for hygienic flooring in food industry environments.
Q: Is an anti-slip finish available? A: Yes. Chimafloor WB can be finished with a quartz aggregate broadcast for anti-slip performance. The color is customizable to the full RAL range.
