Epoxy clear resin Chimepox 1652
The epoxy resin is suitable for casting thick highly transparent layers (up to 4-5cm). It is suitable for non-yellowing, transparent or pigmented decorative and industrial coatings. Spreading rate for 1mm thick layer is ~1,15 kg/m2.
To avoid any problems when using the resin, please follow the following recomendations from us:
1. The ambient temperature and the temperature of substrate should be below 25 C
2. A precoat in order to fill the gap and avoid air bubble is recommended to be applied in a thin layer
3. If a thickness of 5 cm is needed we recommend this to be done in two separate layers 2,5 cm each and when the first one is cured then to applied the second one.
Characteristics
Component 1 – modified, non-crystallizing epoxy resin based on bisphenol A and F
Component 2 – The hardener is modified aliphatic polyamine. Free from alkyl phenols and benzyl alcohol

The gel time is approximately twice the value specified.
Problems with the resin might occur if: the mixed system in the mold is standing in sunlight, the temperature in the room is too warm, the material itself is too warm because it stands in the sunlight , the customer uses wooden forms (Wood is a very good thermal insulator for temperature and the full power of exothermic which is coming from the binder material can’t go away). So please avoid all these in order to avoid getting problems when working with this resin.
Chimatech can’t do every possible test in the lab which the customer has in mind during the development phase and afterward in the application test lab.
