2. Chemical composition
"SILKA" is hydrolysed ethylsilicate's alcoholic solution.
|Appearance and colour||Low viscose colourless liquid|
|Density, g/cm3||0,88 ± 0,02|
|SiO2 content, %||5,5 ± 0,5|
"SILKA" siliceous ground is not to be diluted.
It is applied on preliminary cleaned of all kind of oils, dust, and etc. surface by a brush or a spray. It could be applied during all seasons with no rainfalls.
For better results double layer application is recommended. Single coating dries in 30 min (at regular temperature). Each next layer is applied after 2 to 24 h, depending on environmental temperature.
Other coatings could be applied on "SILKA" siliceous ground layer.
Consumption 150-200 g/m2
Shelf life 6 months after producing date
The ground is inflammable.
Impregnation of cement, ceramic, stone and combine surfaces; surfaces exposed on weather – bridges, over bridges, reservoirs, columns etc., as a ground in combination with other coatings.
Separately could be used for art ceramic articles impregnation, such as flowerpots, fountains, sculptures, etc.
